Welcome to Hospitality English Unlocked (HEU).
The terms & conditions on this page explain the agreement (contract) between HEU and you, the user of HEU’s services or products.
You automatically agree to fully accept HEU’s terms & conditions below anytime you do any of the follow things: visit HEU’s website or social media pages, purchase services or products from HEU, receive free services or products from HEU or when you become an HEU member or subscriber.
Use of our services constitutes acceptance of these terms and conditions.
Transfer or Assignment of Membership
You cannot transfer or assign your membership without the prior written consent of HEU.
The lesson content remains the property of HEU and is subject to copywrite. Materials may not be reproduced or shared without the express permission of HEU
All cancellations need at least 48 hours’ notice. If you cancel with less than 48 hours’ notice, you lose your paid-for lesson. If a teacher cancels with less than 48 hours’ notice, you will get a free lesson. Students need to email HEU to cancel their lesson.
Skype is extremely reliable; we provide English lessons online 24 hours a day, 365 days a year, experiencing almost no problems! If you have electricity or technical problems from your side, HUE cannot be responsible if you miss a lesson or part of a lesson.
Prices are quoted in US dollars and payment is made via secure PayPal. PayPal is an online payment system that anyone can set up for free. You can use PayPal like a credit card and pay online for HEU Courses and lessons. PayPal is secure because no one can see your credit card information and no one at HEU can see it either. You can also use major credit cards on PayPal. These credit cards are also safe with PayPal and HEU.
Full payment is required at the time of purchase.
Lessons must be taken within 6 months of purchase.
Access to you Course and Membership of the site is for a 6 month period.
HEU does not provide refunds if you change your mind or choose the wrong service or product. If you wish to withdraw from your Course you are able to transfer into another Course of similar value free of charge within 7 days of enrolment commencement. (Only 1 free transfer is available).
If the Course you are transferring into is of higher value the difference in value will be payable. Transfers that occur after 7 days of enrolment and within 14 days will incur an administration fee US$50.
Participants will not be eligible for a Course transfer after 14 days.
HEU makes every effort to schedule lessons at the student’s preferred time. However, we cannot guarantee lesson availability. Late entry into the online lesson will reduce the lesson time accordingly. For example, if a student arrives 20 minutes late for a lesson then the lesson will be reduced by 20 minutes.
Rescheduling may be possible but will be determined upon future lesson availability and scheduling constraints. A request for rescheduling must be made in writing at least 24 hours prior to the booked lesson. Failure to do so may result in the lesson being forfeited.
Social Media and Feedback
Comments that are inappropriately negative, rude or attacking will be deleted. Keep posts on topic. We reserve the right to remove any posts based on off topic or offensive content.
We welcome enquiries and feedback on our site. Unless specifically stated by you, we shall treat any information you provide us with as non-confidential.
I understand that enrolment in any of the Courses offered by HEU does not guarantee I will achieve my required level of English proficiency.
I have read and understood the refund policy and agree to be bound by its terms.
I have read and understood the payment and scheduling policies and agree to abide by them.
I understand that use of HEU’s services constitutes acceptance of these Terms and Conditions.
HEU respects your privacy and allows you complete control of your information. We share none of your information with anyone for any reason.
You may change your details at any time by advising us in writing via email. All information we receive from our customers is protected by our secure server. HEU secure server software encrypts all customer information before it is sent to us. Furthermore, all customer data collected is secured against unauthorised use or access. Credit card information is not stored by us on our servers.
What information do we collect?
We collect as little information as possible in order to register students, provide newsletters, give consultations and trial lessons, facilitate safe secure payments on our site, or when students need to contact us.
We typically collect your name, your country of location, email address, reason for contact, when needed. We also use website analytics which only collect click counts and how long people stay on the pages and how often they click through to other pages. None of this data is personally identifiable and it is only aggregate data with no names attached.
Storage and Security of Your Information
We receive and store information you enter on our website or give us in any other way from time to time. You may provide basic contact information such as your name, phone number, address, and email address to enable us to send information or provide requested services and we may also collect additional information at other times, including but not limited to, when you provide feedback, change your content or email preferences, respond to a survey, or communicate with our customer support.
We may use personal information collected from you for the purpose of providing you with direct marketing material, updates regarding our website and information in the form of a newsletter. This information will be shared with our members site (members.hospitalityenglishunlocked.com.au) which is a child website attached to this one. This will only apply if you have registered or subscribed to such publications by registering your details with us. However, if you wish to cease receiving any such information you may let us know either by email or unsubscribing at any time and your request will be actioned immediately.
Individual profile and company details are not used for any other purpose. Details are only supplied to a third party supplier when it is required by law, for goods or services which you have purchased or to protect our copyright, trademarks and other legal rights.
We respect the privacy of our online visitors. We may collect information on or through this website that can personally identify you. For example, we collect personally identifiable information which you volunteer to us to respond to visitor questions and comments about us and our products and services, and to mail e-newsletters (“Personal Data”).
Any non-personal information, communications and material you send to this website or to us by email, or which we obtain from third parties without promises of confidentiality, may be kept, used and disclosed by us on a non-confidential basis. We are free to use and reproduce any such information freely, and for any purpose whatsoever. Specifically, we will be free to use any ideas, concepts, know-how or techniques contained in such information for any purpose, including developing, manufacturing or marketing products.

We may from time to time need to disclose certain information, which may include your Personal Data, to comply with a legal requirement, such as a law, regulation, court order, subpoena, warrant, in the course of a legal proceeding or in response to a law enforcement agency request. Also, we may use your Personal Data to protect the rights, property or safety of Hospitality English Unlocked, our customers or third parties.
If there is a change of control in one of our businesses (whether by merger, sale, transfer of assets or otherwise) customer information, which may include your Personal Data, could be disclosed to a potential purchaser under a confidentiality agreement. We would only disclose your information in good faith and where required by any of the above circumstances.
We do not and will not sell or deal in personal or customer information. We will never disclose your personal details to a third party except the necessary information required by providers of products or services you have purchased or to protect the rights, property or safety of Hospitality English Unlocked, our customers or third parties or if required by law.
We may however use in a general sense without any reference to your name, your information to create marketing statistics, identify user demands and to assist us in meeting customer needs generally. In addition, we may use the information that you provide to improve our website and services but not for any other use.
We strive to ensure the security, integrity and privacy of personal information submitted to our website, and we periodically update our security measures in light of current technologies.
